%X El presente estudio de caso de naturaleza descriptiva e interpretativa aborda la dimensi車n cognitiva de 15 profesores de ingl谷s universitarios, quienes mediante una entrevista semi-estructurada, una entrevista de autorreflexi車n, un cuestionario tipo Likert y la escritura de diarios autobiogr芍ficos, revelan sus creencias ling邦赤stico-pedag車gicas, respecto a la ense anza y el aprendizaje del ingl谷s, en el contexto de una universidad de la Octava Regi車n de Chile. This qualitative case study of descriptive and interpretative nature, approaches the cognitive dimension of 15 English as a Foreign Language academics, who, through a semi-structured interview, a self-reflection interview, a Likert-like survey and journal-keeping, unravel their linguistic-pedagogical beliefs, regarding the teaching and learning of English in a local university in the Eighth Region of Chile.
