%X onsidering the molecular interactions between solute and chromatographic packing,the invariability ofthe total number of the mean active sites on the surface of the packing,and the law of conservation of mass,we derived a fundamental equation elucidating the shape of the break-through curve for solute in frontal chro-matography. We also discuss characterastics of this equation and make some comparisons between the experi-mental and the expected results of the break-through curves of some biopolymers. They are in good agree-ments.
