%X Phenyl-silica gels were synthesized with four methods of reaction on gamma-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTS) silica gel. The synthesized gels were used as stationary phase of normal pressure chromatography to separate and purify taxol. The comparison of these four silica gels was carried out. It was found that the gel synthesized by gas-phase reaction gave the best results. The purity of taxol was 77.4%, and the recovery was about 90%.
