%X he idea and methodology of live retention database(LRD)for compounds identification are describedand evaluated.The influences of thermodynamic parameters,column film thickness,temperature program-ming profile,variation of Kovats Indices and carrier gas flow rate on the calculated retention values were ex-amined.The LRD was proved to be a very efficient method for identification in capillary gas chromatography. A practical example of gasoline analysis was given,in that most of the compounds was identified by the LRD.
