Since more hops can save more energy in wireless transmission, the TBPR protocol selects more energy efficient routes by comparing accumulated power consumption based on the mechanism of delaying rebroadcast route request packets. This method can reduce energy consumption and prolong the lifetime of network. Simulation results indicate that the TBPR protocol can conserve more energy and reduce energy consumption in wireless Ad hoc networks. %K timer-based broadcasting %K power-aware %K waiting time %K accumulated power %K wireless ad hoc network
