%X Gas chromatography infrared spectroscopy technique integrates the excellent resolution ability of GC with the structural information of IR. Based on the GC and IR spectra, the complicated products of a reaction can be analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. From the analysis of the products, the reaction process and its mechanism can be elucidated. In this work, analysis by GC IR of the oxidation products of cyclohexene catalyzed by zeolite TS 1 in H 2O 2 was performed. The products are 2 cyclohexenone, 2 cyclohexen 1 ol and 2,3 epoxy 1 cyclohexanone. 2,3 Epoxy 1 cyclohexanone is an unexpected product. It must be a further oxidation product of 2 cyclohexenone. From the analysis, the reaction mechanisms were presumed .
