%X It has been shown that for the reflection type refractive index detector, the expressions for the relationship between the transmitted light intensity, I, and the incident light intensity, I_0, in some books about liquid chromatography are invalid. The correct form should be read as follows:where i and r are the angle of incidence and the angle of refraction, respectively.
