%X Solid phase extraction (SPE) is now a common method for sample pretreatment. SPE vacuum manifold is a key instrument when SPE is used for sample pretreatment. It was developed by National Chromatographic R. & A. Center. Being connected with a vacuum pump, it can deal with 12 samples simultaneously. The manifold has a unique rotatable cover and can be conveniently rotated when switching between any two steps of SPE. An application of this SPE vacuum manifold in measuring bile acids in human serum was given.
