%X Network wide broadcasting is a basic operation in mobile ad hoc networks. Counter-Based broadcasting scheme is well suited for highly mobile networks because of its simplicity. The paper presents several improvements on the counter-based broadcasting scheme and proposes an enhanced counter-based broadcasting scheme, CBB+. Analyses and simulations have shown that CBB+ operates more efficiently than the original counter-based scheme. It has higher reachability, fewer rebroadcasts and lower delay.
