%X The paper,viewed from sustainability and sustainable development,discussesthe concept and basic contents of sustainable agriculture and agricultural sustainability by taking soil conservation,diversified cropping system and application ofbiological technology as its basic contents.In the light with China's national conditions, the author puts forward basic tasks of Sustainable Agriculture:1) to optimize agricultural structure according to local conditions, improve cropping system,reduce exhausting rate and raise utilization ratio to agricultural resources;2)to protect and utilize agricultural resources rationally;3)to conserve biodiversity;and 4)to prevent pollution induced by agricultural development. Finallythe author makes a brief analysis on the relationship between sustainable agriculture and food security system,
