%X The climatic resources and its characteristics of Zhang Jia Jie district situated in the middle area of Wuling mountains were studied. The results showed that the relief of Zhang Jia Jie is very complex and the landscape is special. The climte of this area is mild, comfortable with plenty of rainfall, fog, and the air is humid and clear. The climatic phenomenons are various and have the high quality resources for tourism. In this region, there are rich hydro and thermal resources. The period of the high light intensity, high solar radiation and heavy rainfall occurred at the same time with the growth of the plants. It is very favourable for the growth of the plants. Therefore, there are many species of plants and animals and vegetations. The forest has high yield with good quality. The vegetation coverage is very high. The are lot of forest by-products, especi-ally the local tea has a high yield and good quality. The results also showed that there are the. superiority of climate resources for the development of high yield and high quality crops. Thus, the climats resources and landscape should be under fully exploitation, conservation-and utilization so as the natural resources can be sustainedly used.
