%X Protected agriculture is a special form of agricultural production system with its natural eco-environment strongly interferred by man.In theory and practice, therefore, it has many characteristics differring from general agriculture which operates in the natural eec-environment. And a more important point is that Chins'a market economic system has offered the protected agriculture with an extremely favourable social environmental conditions. So, some more critical problems on the protected agriculture such as its characteristics, intiative ecological adaptation theory, China's protected agriculture development and its countermeasures are discussed and set forth in this paper.
