And the research of dynamic change of forestland and grassland is significantly important for better understanding land use/land cover change and environmental management for sustainable development. In order to study the dynamic changes of forestland and grassland in China during the past five years, the technologies of Remote Sensing and Geographical Information System are used to analyze the spatial and temporal dynamical features of forestland and grassland. Furthermore, the mathematical methodology for study on forestland/grassland change is explored and developed. This research focused on the dynamical analysis of spatial temporal change of forestland and grassland of China in five years.
