The subjects included in this literature review are: (1) elevated nitrogen deposition changes nitrogen metabolism in plants due to the increasing nitrogen concentration in plant tissues; (2) it influences photosynthesis including photosynthetic rate, photosynthetic pigments and Rubisco concentrations; (3) elevated nitrogen deposition increases plant respiration; and (4) increases the susceptibility of plant resistance to coldness, pests and diseases. %K Nitrogen deposition %K Woody plants %K Nitrogen metabolism %K Photosynthesis %K Respiration %K Plant resistance %K Review
