The necessary agricultural land transmission is conducive to expanding the management scale of agriculture, increasing agricultural production efficiency, improving land use efficiency, optimizing the allocation of land resources, promoting the adjustment of agricultural structure and increasing farmer income. Research is mainly concentrated in areas dominated by Han Chinese, but agricultural land transmission decision-making behavior in western China will be clearly distinct in religious beliefs, lifestyle and agricultural production habits. This study selected Kuala city in Xinjiang and summarized the characteristics of agricultural land transmission of local Uighur (an ethnic minority) farmers using surveys. We surveyed 454 Uighur farmers in 23 administrative villages, six villages and towns and found that local farmers have a low motivation towards agricultural land transmission, and the transfer rate of agricultural land was only 35.02%. The agricultural land transmission term was short and unstable, and the term was usually 3 to 5 years. In the process of transmission, contract characteristics were significant and 89.21% of framers signed a formal transmission contract. Agricultural land transmission decision-making behavior and resource, rural household, the head of the household, and economic characteristics were chosen as explanatory variables in our logistic regression mode. This analysis showed that the main factors affecting agricultural land inflow decision-making by Uighur farmers are total household population, non-agricultural population, the proportion of non-agricultural income, and block number. The main factors influencing agricultural land outflow decision-making include the age of the head of household, the number of agricultural labor, the proportion of farming income, and the family farmland area. %K Agricultural land transmission %K Influencing factors %K Logistic model %K Uighur %K Xinjiang
