%X n this paper, we have analysed the historical and present situation of town-ship industry in Xuancheng prefecture of Anhui province. On the basis of the sur-vey of pollution source, the characteristics of pollution of township industry are discussed. Finally, this paper suggests the following control strategies; (i) Enha-ncing environment management; (ii) Adjusting industrial structure, (iii) Enhan-cing the conciousness of environment conservation.
