%X The research of soil quality is becoming the focused topic of the international pedology. Ground Penetrating Radar as a quick,unintrusive and economic method is accepted by the scholars home and abroad. Because the complexity of the soil ,there are some questions on the application of the technology . This paper starts with the methods, to probe the research progress of the soil physic properties , the dielectric properties and the organic survey, then makes a study on the imaging dispose and the existent questions. This study can promote the use of the ground penetrating radar in the soil quality inspection.
