%X Natural resources are limited in time,space and quantity.Natural resouces that man can recognize and utilize are also limited in a certain period of time in the society owing to restrictions in technical and economic conditions.Man's plundering the Earth natural resources and damaging its eco\|environment has reached the limit in human history,especially since the industrial society,leading to the occurrence of resources crisis and ecological crisis.This paper discusses what the knowledge is,characteristics and function of knowledge.Since man's wisdom is unlimited,and the knowledge achieved by man's wisdom is also unlimited,therefore,man's cognition and cognitive ability to knowledge is unlimited,the substitutional ability to the resources needed,as well as to the transformation of the damaged resources,and to the exploitation and utilization of new resources is unlimited.By practicing self\|examination and prospecting future,man should neither be carefree,nor be over anciousness.On the one hand,man should conserve and treasure resources and on the other,the balance issue of resources supply and demand should be solved by developing science and technology.
