%X The basic principle of parabolic Radon transform is given in this paper, and also the verification of validity of parabolic approximation after partial normal moveout(NMO)correction for common midpoint(CMP) gather. Prestack near offset extrapolation result is shown based on band limited forward and inverse least square parabolic Radon transform. The basic principle of seismic trace reconstruction and extrapolation of PRT approach and the corresponding prestack processing full algorithm is shown in this paper. The reconstruction and extrapolation result of layered formation and Marmousi model demonstrate the given algorithm's stability.
