%X The complexity of geological structure near hydraulic structure site brings a series of new and forward re- search work, which are relate to the problems of earthquake input mechanism, foundation-dam-water interaction, multi-material etc. The combination of different subjects is needed to study above problems. Geophysics has been widely used in dam earthquake engineering such as seismic design of dams, modal test and prototype test of dams, strong motion observation of dams, reservoir induced earthquake etc.
