%X A mechanical shaft model of human body is established to calculate the angular speed and translational speed of the body upon its first collision with a vehicle. The possible moving states of the body collapsing onto the hood at different crashing speeds are then discussed, which is found to agree with the actual circumstances. These results can be used for traffic accident investigations and identifications.
