%X As a new-developed tool of geophysical well logging , Formation Microresistivity Image well logging is able to image distinctly the medium of the formation around the mineshaft ,and can help to solve the three geological difficulties faced by well logging technique:1.efficiently distinguish thin sandstones from thin shales .2. analysis of fractures and their ability of storage.3.evaluate parameters in complex reservoir. But it has many shortages:1.slow logging speed.2.too expensive 3.poor result in quantificationally interpretation. The three international companies of well logging initiated this research comparatively early and achieved many results, and have brought out commercial productions. Our country started this research a little late ,but has made great progress in recent years. In the future , we should overcome some theoretical and technical difficulties , and put out our better Formation Microresistivity Image tool and interpretation technique.
