%X This paper reviewed the concepts of seismic illumination pre-stack depth migration and its realizations.The seismic illumination pre-stack depth migration is a effective method and is achieved through the pre-stack depth migration of the effective illumination point source record and synthetic source record.seismic illumination pre-tack depth migration can be roughly divided into two: the plane wave migration and the beamlet migration.Theory data processing results showed that seismic illumination pre-stack depth migration methods validate the efficiency of above theory and the high-quality image of the ultimate target.
