%X Computer's capacity and memory are key factors in pre-stack depth migration based on wave-equation. Nowadays, pre-stack depth migration comes into use in industrial production along with the appearance of Beowulf PC-clusters, but it still takes much longer time than traditional post-stack migration. In this paper, we smooth the propagator with cubic spline function then reconstruct the propagator adopting sample function. Thus we can reduce the use of computer's memory and in the meantime ensure accuracy, so that the whole dat-processing time is shortened.
