%X Retractable roof is a type of structure, which or a part of which can open or close within a short time. In this paper we discuss several typical structures. The movement of retractable roof makes the design of retractable roof structures very complex. Compared with the conventional buildings, the design of retractable roof structures is composed of three parts: architecture, structure and mechanism. They are mutually related.
