%X Progress in studies on the preparation technology, mechanical properties, mechanisms of strengthening and toughening, microstructures, tribology properties, as well as friction and wear mechanisms of nanocomposites are reviewed. Some problems needed to be investigated further in the field of tribology of ceramic-based nanocomposites are pointed out.
