%X By means of the theory of spline functions in Hilbert spaces) polynomial natural spline smoothing interpolation and generalized interpolation are constructed for scattered data throughout an arbitrary domain containing the scattered data rectangle. The method can easily be carried out on a computer, and the results can be used to fit surfaces, and parallelly generalized to high dimensional cases as well.
