%X A modified proportional navigation law based on fractional calculus (FO-PPN) can effectively solve the control problem for the capture of a target with randomly maneuvers... By means of the Lyapunov-like method, we prove that under certain conditions, an ideal missile guided by the FO-PPN law can always hit a target with time-varying normal acceleration. The simulation results show that the FO-PPN not only maintains the tracking performance, but also reduces the sudden change of the normal overload received by the missile receives at the point of impact.
