%X The self-aggregation of chiral threonine-Iinked porphyrins and their zinc(II) complexes in water-alcohol system and water-alcohol-NaCl system has been studied by circular dichroism (CD), UV-Vis absorption spectra and fluorescence spectra methods. The experiment results indicate that chiral threonine-Iinked porphyrins and their zinc(II) complexes have two different kinds of aggregates in water-alcohol system and water-alcohol-NaCl system. And the porphyrins may form highly organized and orientated aggregates in water-alcohol-NaCl system. The aggregates in water-alcohol-NaCl system may have helical structures.
