%X To deal with the dynamic properties of big inertia, big time-delay and nonlinearities of a water level system, we propose a multi-model control strategy to improve the control performances. For a water level system with three tanks, we design three similar controllers based on the dynamical properties of one tank to simplify the design procedures. The tracking problem of set-point value of the water level system is divided into the tracking problem of three set-point values of the multi-model controller to prevent the inputs from exceeding the upper limits and optimize the control performances. In an experiment using the process controller A3000 of Hua Sheng Co., the results show that the proposed control strategy greatly improves the control performances.
