%X The design of variable structure control for discrete time system using discrete reaching law is discussed. Based on the attenuating control, the attenuating variable rate and the attenuating power reaching law are proposed in this paper. The theory analysis and simulation demonstrate the effectiveness of the methods, which not only retain the asymptotic stability, but also reduce the chattering of the system.
