%X Biological wastewater treatment processes, where organic materials in wastewater are removed by microorganism's metabolism, are widely used as secondary treatment for both municipal and industrial wastewaters. In this paper, modeling and control of biological wastewater treatment processes, which are of nonlinear, uncertain, time-varying and delay-time complex systems from the point of view of control theory, are reviewed.
