%X Sliding mode variable structure control(SMVSC) is a special nonlinear control strategy, which has strong robustness against parameter variations, load disturbances and uncertainty of system. Nevertheless, the control precision and stability of system will be affected by the chattering, caused by sliding mode switch control. To address the problem, this paper proposes that the chattering can be effectively minimized by introducing fuzzy self learning in conventional sliding mode control, without sacrificing the strong robustness of SMVSC. Simulation research on a direct drive AC linear servo system is also presented in the paper.
