%X It is necessary to get the assurance among heterogeneous networks of the access network, core network and external network as well as the cooperation between the bearer level and the application level to realize the end to end QoS. IMS is a control lever network based on bearer lever and provides policy-based QoS control mechanism, and that is why 3G has chosen such a architecture like that to provide this co-ordination, The IMS QoS support mechanism is introduced, the IMS QoS support architecture and signalling control procedure are described, the drawbacks about this architecture are analyzed, and the enhanced schemes are promoted to improve the previous ar chit ecture.
