Across-layer adaptive round inter-clusters routing was proposed based on the cluster election method of the energy index and distance index. The model can balance traffic load and energy consumption of nodes. Communication of inter-clusters is based on energy and energy-consumption factor and RSSI and energy index of next hop.By comparison with other clustering and cross-layer routing protocols, the simulation results show that the model prolongs the lifetime and improves the throughput.
