During half a century, many organizations have done lots of works and accumulated many materials. In this paper, the stable control research status of multi-order inverted pendulum is summarized, and the development trend is discussed. The main control methods include linear control, predictive control and intelligent control, and intelligent control which includes fuzzy control, human-imitating control, computing intelligent control and cloud-model control ete. and is the mainstream.
