%X Caching video objects at the edge of the backbone network has become a hot spot in the video delivery research. Clients with different access bandwidths request different kinds of perceptual quality in the heterogeneous environment. This paper proposes a streaming media proxy cache layout method to make the proxy try its best to provide the maximum overall quality hit ratio(QHR). Simulation results demonstrate that our method not only achieves the highest QHR but also reduces the segment resume delay, taking full advantage of the proxy storage.
