%X With the development of Ethernet,the technique of link-layer based traffic control becomes one part of Traffic Engineering. Meanwhile, as over 70 percents of Internet traffic is TCP, it is necessary to evaluate TCP throughput under traffic control environment. In this paper,a simple model is given to evaluate the performance of long-term Newreno TCP in bandwidth sharing Ethernet. Simulation result shows that the model works well.
