The shape of real bacillus likes small rod which is advantageous to describe curve. Interesting line shape is arrayed by real bacilli during their multiplying and moving. Aiming at curve extraction of digital image, Artificial Bacilli Model is built based on real bacillus and Artificial Life theory, in which there is an important thought that individual living rule is simple, local- oriented and disorder, but the phenomenon of colony multiplying is complex, global-oriented and ordered. The Artifi- cial Bacilli Model proposed in this paper reflects the biological world's characteristics such as parallelism, adaptive- ness, robustness and so on.
