%X With the improvement of bandwidth,packet sampling,as an important technique of traffic measurement,is getting more and more attention. Because in high speed networks,statistics of all the arrived packets is very expen- sive. Through packet sampling,the measurement cost is largely decreased,which makes the measurement more scal- able. In this paper,a number of packet sampling techniques are analyzed systemically,focusing on their basic idea,ac- curacy,and effectiveness. Furthermore,some advices are presented to improve existing problems.
