%X Recently, XML has emerged as a standard information exchange mechanism on the Internet, and these lead to an increased interest in how to filter XML pattern data and process selective dissemination of information in the network communications field. The core technical challenge about these is processing a large collection of XPath queries on an incoming XML stream, and both filtering efficiency and system scalability are of paramount concern. In this paper, the model of XML routing will be introduced at first, and then, the XML routing arithmetic will be classified, and the characteristic of the different arithmetic will be summarized. Finally, the application of XML routing arithmetic is discussed.
