%X Here we discuss the main researching problems and the development of Intelligent Tutor-ing System(ITS),which is the most important and recent researching direction of CAI (Computer Assisted Instruction). The intelligence of ITS refers to the adaptation of its tutoring, which means to provide different tutoring to individual student. The researching on ITS concentrates on how to build student model to simulate the student's cognitive situation, so as to provide adaptive tutoring.
