%X As a program transformation technique .control dependence can be converted to data dependecnce by predi-catted execution with some architectural support. Predicated execution and its key techniques are discussed in this paper, and IA-64 is selected as an example to indicate the realizaation of predicated execution. At last .questions need to be studied fatherly are proposed.
