%X Aim at the degradation of single image under haze conditions, this paper proposes a new algorithm of automatic haze removal. It first transforms the haze image from RGB to YCbCr color space, and uses multi-scale Retinex algorithm on the luminance component, then conduct a subtraction operation with the control of image quality assessment. After median filter on the image, the transmission map is obtained and the haze removal image can be obtained as well. Experiments show that the algorithm can effectively improve the degradation of image and enhance its quality.
