%X Based on the distance ratio function to measure the gray level of a single pixel and the similarity between two pixels, this paper presents a novel image edge detection algorithm based on the measuring of medium truth scale. Two thresholds and restraint on non-maxim value in domain are applied to the algorithm. Simulation results show that the algorithm can successfully remove noise, preserve the image edge details and is more effective and has wider applications compared with the classic algorithms.
