%X A brief introduction to computer graphics and graphics engineering is given, and the relationship between.graphics and image engineering is also described in the paper. Based on the current status of the reseaarch on grswhics engineering as well as the distribution of related publications is China, we selected nearly a hundred refrences from around ten important Chinese journals published in 1995 and classified these references into different categories according to their contents. We hope that the paper could provide readers withja;general and up--to-date overview of development of graphics engineering in China,and also a convenient means of literature searching for graphics techniques.
