%X Four winter barley cultivars,yangsimai 3,gangpi,yangnongpi 2 and Frankin,were used to study the dynamics and characteristics of grain weight gain in various sowing stages.The results showed that the dynamics of grain weight gain in winter barley could be described by Richards equation.Through stepwise regression analysis,it was found that the parameters of the Richards equation for grain weight gain dynamics were positively related to the yield of winter barley.The parameters of the maximum accumulative rate and relative accumulative rate could affect the yield of winter barley,and high maximum accumulative rate and low relative accumulative rate contributed to the yield.Meanwhile,the average accumulative rate during early stages and accumulative amount during middle stages could also affect the yield of winter barley.
