%X Phylogenetic relationships among 11 genera in the family Nectriaceae, Hypocreales were studied by using analysis of partial sequences of the nuclear large subunit rDNA. The results showed that Cosmospora is possibly not monophyletic, species of the genus tested showed close relationships to 3 different genera i.e. Nectria, Haematonectria, and Neocosmospora; species of Haematonectria and Neocosmospora are very closely related; Lanatonectria is a tenable genus; and Neonectria represented by N. discophora var. discophora is distinct at the generic level.
