%X A new species of the genus Sphaerotheca on Cayratia corniculata (Benth.) Gagnep collected from Hangzhau, Zhejiang Province is described as Sphaerotheca cayratiae Z.Q.Yuan et A.Q. Wang sp. nov. Latin and Chinese diagnoses of the new species as well as a discussion on the differences between the new species and the similar one in morphology are given. Prior to the paper here, species of the genus Sphaerotheca had not been recorded on plants of the family Vitaceae.Type specimen is deposited in the Mycological Herbarium of Xinjiang August 1st Agricultural College (HMAACX), Urumqi, Xinjiang, China.
