The biomass was increased from 12.6g/L to 28.89 /L, lipid content was increased from 5.89/L to 15.7g/L and arachidonic acid content wasincreased from 32ling/L to 623mg/L. Pass--generahon test indicated that the hereditarycharacter of SM541--9 was stable. In 10--liter fermentahon with medium containing glucoseand KNO, the biomass and the arachidonic acid content of mutant SM541--9 wereincreased by 45.2% and 109.5% respechvely as compared with that of SM541. The resultSof fermentahon experiment showed that mycelia aging. increasing aerationvolume and intendttCnUy feeding glucose were advantageous to arachidonic acid synthesis. %K Mortierella ramanniana %K Liquid fermentation %K Arachidonic acid
